Our 2023 Space Coast Raks event features the international superstar Vanessa of Cairo. Vanessa is a an American-born dancer, who had been living and dancing full-time in Egypt for 12 years. To date, she is the first and only American woman to start and operate a production company in Egypt. Vanessa has held contracts in 5 Star hotels, in addition to dancing and acting in plays at Balloon Theatre—one of Cairo’s most famous establishments. Since 2011, she has been invited to numerous countries to teach and perform, and she is thrilled to share her insight, experience and love of dance with you! Vanessa holds a BFA in Ballet from Texas Christian University.

Showcase
This showcase is intended to be an immersive experience for both the audience and performer, immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the Middle East! Our professional performers will be the spectacle of the ambiance but the room you enter will be elaborately decorated as if you left the United States and are in an ornate room somewhere overseas. Your eyes and ears will have many splendors of décor and dance! This showcase will center around an immersive experience as well as education where you will learn details of all the variety of performances you will witness.
Want to really immerse yourself? We encourage audience members to dress in theme if they desire. What does this mean? No, not a belly dance costume, but a Galabeya, Abaya, or anything themed will do. A simple internet search will give you some inspiring ideas.
