Taqsim & Beledi Progression Obsession (Nadirah Johara) - 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM: $65/$75 at the door (plus tax)
We will explore the true nature of Egyptian dance, its expressive and highly organic Beladi nature. This class will detail the conventions of style ; the musical format as well as the detailed technical aspects of the movements that combine to create the Beledi Progression or Beledi Taqsim.
Students will take away new and interesting combinations as well as a deeper technical knowledge of the movement, music and structure of the Beledi Progression/Taqsim along with a short choreography to practice!
Acting/Attitude for Belly Dancers (Isa Kalila) -12:30 PM to 2:00 PM: $40/$50 at the door (plus tax)
Elevate your performances with the art of storytelling! In this workshop, Isa will teach you how to bring deeper emotional expression and theatrical flair to your belly dance, allowing you to captivate your audience not just with movement, but with heart and soul.
This workshop will explore character development, facial expressions, body language, and how to convey a range of emotions through your dance. You'll learn how to embody different personas, tell a story through music, and connect more powerfully with your audience. Whether performing a dramatic drum solo, a playful routine, or an emotional veil piece, Isa will guide you to make every movement meaningful.
Perfect for dancers of all levels, this workshop will help you unlock and add an extra layer of depth to your artistry.

Dancers are not obligated to take a workshop yet will need to pay $25.00 (plus tax)
Music: 4:00 minutes (MP3 format)
We will not accept any links from iTunes, Spotify or YouTube will be accepted.
